Band

For Association members, visitors, and friends and–young, old and in-between–Ocean Park offers a Chautauqua vacation. Whether your stay is for a weekend away, or for the whole season, the Ocean Park Association offers activities and opportunities that will enrich your vacation and help you enjoy the traditions, the community, and the people of Ocean Park.

Calling all musicians: amateur and professional, young and old. Come and join the Temple Choir or Ocean Park band.

The Temple Choir, directed by Artistic Director Karla Kelley. The choir rehearses each Saturday at 5:30 pm in the Temple. All visiting choir members are welcome to attend, even if you will only be in Ocean Park for one or two Sundays. If you plan to sing on Sunday, please attend rehearsal on Saturday. Call the OPA office 207-934-9068 for information.

Temple Bell Choir, directed by Karla Kelley. Rehearsal times vary; email Karla at kkelleymusic@gmail.com or call the OPA office (207-934-9068) to find out the schedule and to make your interest known.

The Ocean Park Band, directed by Bandmaster Dan Evans, will play for the Independence Day Parade and Concert (on July 4th in 2011) and the August 6th Illumination Night Concert. Visiting players are urged to bring their instruments and join the fun! Rehearsals are scheduled for Sunday, July 3 at 5:30 pm in Porter Hall and Saturday, August 6 at 4:00 pm in the Rec. Hall. The uniform for both performances is OP Band Shirt (available for purchase at the rehearsals) and tan, navy blue, or white pants, shorts, or skirts. Ocean Park Marching & Koncert Kazoo Band, No director, no music…no problem! Show up at the Bell Tower by 9:55 am on July 4 to practice for the parade.
