Qigong practice encompasses the Taiji form, Qigong exercises, standing/sitting/lying down meditations and partner training. During the hour-long class all aspects of the practice will be touched on. And you will take-away some simple, yet profound, movements you can immediately use to get the benefit of this centuries old practice that the Harvard Medical School says, "This gentle form of exercise can prevent or ease many ills of aging and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life." Classes will be held every Thursday morning at the Rec Hall from June 29 through August 24, 9:00-10:00 am (except July 20 which will be held at Jordan Hall). Cost: $5.00 per session.

Biking and Walking in Ocean Park
There are a number of good biking routes and hiking trails in Ocean Park and the surrounding area. Guild Park, a 10 acre old-growth white pine and spruce grove off Temple Avenue between Free Street and the railroad tracks, has marked walking trails. Other trails are in the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, a trail head in the Oceanwood Camp at the end of Royal Street. More information is available in the Visitor's Center at 14 Temple Avenue. More info? Click here.
